Normally a book will have an acknowledgments section where the author lists all of the people they want to thank. But that’s always seemed odd to me, since the only people who buy the book can actually see that section. Of those people, how many actually read through the acknowledgments section? I know I rarely do.
So instead, I want to take the time to publicly thank everyone who has helped turn Refactoring Redmine into a successful ebook.
- Amy Hoy – her Zero to Launch Course gave me a bunch of ideas that I put to use in building the book. (Now called the 30×500 Launch Class).
- Brian P Hogan – docbook toolchain
- Erin Wentworth – alpha reviewer
- Cory Flanigan – beta reviewer
- Jeff Schoolcraft – beta reviewer
- Philip Ingram – beta reviewer
- Robert Chady – beta reviewer
- Etienne Segonzac – beta reviewer
And most of all, I want to thank Ilana Davis, my adoring wife. Without her support, I wouldn’t have even had the idea of writing Refactoring Redmine let alone having the time or motivation for it.
Even though it’s called self-publishing, you rarely do it alone.
