The past months I’ve been rebuilding my content marketing system to be more structured and to not require me at the wheel for everything. I’ve been relying on Philip Morgan’s advice for a lot of it. His advice fits my specialized, expert-level, solo consultancy very well. In CTA-able Content Marketing Philip writes about how your content marketing can do double duty: not just attracting organic visitors but also as a destination to send people to when borrowing someone’s audience (e.g. guest blogging, podcast interviews).

Yes, just about every freelancer says they hate accounting. Yes, it can be tedious and time-consuming. But honestly, a well organized accounting system has prevented so much worry, about so many things. I actually enjoy my accounting now because it gives me insight into my business and confidence that things are doing good. You may never feel that way, but you still need to learn the basics of accounting. Calin Yablonski covers many of these in Accounting 101 for freelancers.
